First year-college students face unique challenges, even under ordinary, non-COVID conditions. The demands of college are different, and the landscape is unique.

With Student 5.0, an entirely virtual program, the support you need to start your spring semester successfully is available right now.

The key to Student 5.0 is your peer mentor — someone who has walked a similar path as you.

Special NoteBilingual Spanish-English peer mentors are available!

Your peer mentor is completely dedicated to your success and can help you to:

  • manage studying, assignments, and exams, with strategies to improve  
  • assess your degree program to see how it fits your long-term goals
  • balance your non-academic obligations (work, personal, family) with your coursework
  • select and register for courses, including add/drop assistance for spring 2021
  • understand your spring 2021 financial aid/FAFSA

Eligibility: This program is for class of ’20 Connecticut public high school graduates. Class of ’20 grads still in need of a college/career plan, click here.
