Prior to joining the ReadyCT team, Sorceres was a volunteer services specialist where she managed the recruitment, placement, and onboarding of volunteers, interns, and clinical students for the affiliations of fifteen health centers throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. 

While attending Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC) for her associate’s degree, Sorceres traveled to Oxford University to attend the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights. That seminar on human rights, global conflict, and peace building, provided her a framework with which to approach community conflicts, and it established for her the value of community centered work. 

Sorceres holds an associate’s degree from NCCC and is currently completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut.
