Samantha Rohrborn joins ReadyCT with experience working in education and a passion for helping students. As a first-generation college graduate, she strives to provide students with the knowledge and support that they need to be successful after high school.

Prior to joining ReadyCT, Samantha worked in educational publishing and as a teacher. She taught in Hartford as an English language arts teacher and as a bilingual (English-Spanish) resource teacher. She has also taught upper- and lower-level composition courses at Rutgers University-Camden.

Though originally from New Hampshire, Samantha lived and worked in North Carolina, Michigan, and Colorado before settling in Connecticut. She holds an M.A. in English from Rutgers University-Camden, an M.A. in comparative literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a B.A. in English and international studies with a Spanish minor from Elon University.

Samantha lives with her partner and their menagerie of three cats, a dog, a turtle, and a gecko. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, painting, and attending academic conferences on women writers.

“I believe all students deserve opportunities to grow and succeed. And it’s our job, as advocates, to make those opportunities happen.”
