Pam joined ReadyCT with over 20 years of experience and a unique background in education, nonprofit management, and corporate business development.

Pam served as the workforce development specialist and Perkins grant manager at Newington High School (NHS) for almost seven years, where she worked with students to provide career exploration and guidance. She assisted students with resume preparation, interviewing skills, professional etiquette, communication, and the transversal skills associated with success in the workplace. She grew the school’s annual career fair to over 70 participating organizations, representing a diverse range of industries and careers. Pam also worked closely with the NHS career academies program to provide students with work-based learning opportunities, including lunch & learns, employer panels, field trips, job shadows, and internships.

Before working in education, Pam spent over 15 years directing membership efforts in nonprofit associations and leading corporate business and partnership development. She is well-versed in marketing, event management, program management, business intelligence, and strategic planning. Pam is adept at building relationships across a broad spectrum of individuals and business segments and looks forward to leveraging that skill to continue to expand ReadyCT’s efforts to support students through the pathway programs.

Pam holds an MBA with a focus in marketing from George Washington University (Washington, DC), and a BS in business administration, with concentrations in marketing and psychology from Mary Washington College (n/k/a University of Mary Washington). She is also a certified career services provider (CCSP), holds a diversity, equity, and inclusion certificate from the University of South Florida, and is a licensed real estate agent.

After growing up in Connecticut, Pam spent over 13 years in the D.C. area, returning to Connecticut in 2005. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time on Cape Cod or the Jersey Shore, connecting with family and friends, and watching her two children play basketball and soccer as their biggest fan!

“What I love most about working in education is connecting with the students and helping them to find their future path, whether they are college- or career-bound. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working with students in my ReadyCT role and I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to work in a career that is fulfilling and rewarding – intellectually, emotionally, and financially. If I can change the trajectory for even one student who feels lost on their journey, I will have made an impact, but my goal is to encourage as many students as possible to recognize their potential and take advantage of the many opportunities for their future success!”
