Every day, thousands of Connecticut high school students wake up to face any number of crippling challenges: homelessness, food insecurity, community and/or domestic violence. What’s more, these circumstances are often underscored by significant generational poverty.
It would be easy for these students to give up, but they don’t want to, and so long as we’re able, we’ll be around to ensure they don’t.
But we can’t do it without you.
Every student, educator, employer, parent, lawmaker, and community member is invited to work with ReadyCT to provide these students with what they need most: the chance to explore their options, investigate careers, and chart a path forward toward success.
There is no reason for today’s circumstances to dictate tomorrow’s outcomes.
Just after the students themselves, Connecticut employers are the biggest beneficiaries of ReadyCT’s efforts. Across all ReadyCT programs — career pathways, roadshows, Student 5.0, robotics, and beyond — students leave more inspired, better informed, and well-equipped to succeed. They can make choices about what they want to do, can do, and will do.
