Be a Peer Mentor

Working remotely, guide Class of '20 high school graduates through a college/career planning process

Earn a summer income from home while helping recent high school graduates who need a plan for postsecondary success

Peer Mentors: The Key to Student 5.0

A global health crisis shuttered public school buildings in March 2020 — right about the time seniors were in need of direct, easy access to teachers and school counselors for postsecondary planning help. When school remained closed, too many seniors were stranded and left without a plan for life after graduation.

As a peer mentor, you can work from home as you help guide these students through that planning process.

No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Qualifications:

  • Specific interest in and commitment to helping young adults plan for their futures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Google Suite, and a willingness to learn about new online platforms
  • Ability to work independently, assess individual needs, and develop creative solutions
  • Willingness to work irregular and flexible hours to best support the students
