Manufacturing Careers Roadshow

The series kicked off with the 11.2.22 ACM Future Workforce Opportunities Fair. Four regional events will follow in 2023.

When students meet manufacturers, good things happen! It makes sense, then, to create more opportunities for that.

The Manufacturing Roadshow Series is designed to raise awareness and pique interest in the broad opportunities and well-paying, interesting, and modern careers now available in Connecticut manufacturing.

Event highlights include:

  • Meet ‘n greet with local manufacturers
  • Innovation stations will offer hands-on activities
  • ReadyCT will provide Oculus VR headsets that will offer career simulation, e.g., tools and operations
  • The Goodwin University Advanced Manufacturing Mobile Training Lab will be on hand for a deeper look into manufacturing career training and trajectories
  • The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) will show students how collaborative robots (cobots) are used and programmed in a manufacturing environment through hands-on demonstrations
