Latrese joins ReadyCT with a wealth of experience in youth development; she brings to her role a passion for empowering young people to achieve their full potential. 

Prior to pursuing her career in youth development, Latrese worked as a pastry chef and leveraged her culinary expertise to assist students in Boston to learn culinary and life skills. Latrese then accepted a position as a program manager and special education specialist in Boston, MA, where she made a meaningful impact on the lives of young people. She has conducted workshops on positive youth development, social and emotional learning, work readiness, and transversal skills. Also, in collaboration with teachers, she evaluated students’ progress, developed lesson plans, and reinforced outcomes to help students succeed.

She recently moved from Boston, MA to Manchester, CT and holds an associate’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. In her free time, Latrese still explores her passion for food, experimenting with new recipes and flavors. She is a devoted mother to her son, engaged to be married, and has two dogs – all of which keeps her busy and grounded. She is excited to continue making a positive impact on the lives of students and the community.
