Jose joined ReadyCT to advance academic excellence and career-connected learning for all public school students in Connecticut. As the communications and events coordinator, Jose supports the production, design, management, and maintenance of ReadyCT communications and assists with the design and implementation of events, webinars, and workshops.

Before joining ReadyCT, Jose worked for a property manager where he managed all communications between stakeholders. He also served as a consultant on social media strategy for a church in Fairfield county.

In college, Jose was the co-founder of a Christian nonprofit organization, where he led the operations, creative, and communication departments, focusing on the New England area. During that time, Jose and his team also managed, from start to finish, 35+ events with the participation of 100+ students and 80+ volunteers for each event. In addition, Jose received a full college athletic scholarship as a basketball player. He obtained his A.A. in business administration from ASA College (Brooklyn, NY) and his B.A. in marketing from the University of Bridgeport.

Jose is originally from Venezuela and taught himself how to speak English within five months of arriving in the U.S. as a high school student. Outside of ReadyCT, Jose enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, and serving at his local church. Jose lives with his wife in New Britain, CT.

In the educational system, providing resources and career-connected opportunities for students is crucial for the future of our economy. I also believe that the partnership between educators, students, and companies built today will make the difference in the workforce for tomorrow.”
