Dionne joined ReadyCT in October 2021 as part of the organization’s effort to ensure all students participating in a work-based learning program acquire the tools they need to graduate high school with a well-informed postsecondary academic/career plan.

Dionne’s most recent roles as a theme coordinator/recruiting specialist and tutor for theme-based magnet schools inspired her to pursue her passion for public education and her desire to help young people prepare to enter the ever-changing workforce. Over her career, Dionne has worked within human resources staffing in the insurance, financial, and utility industries. Additionally, she comes to ReadyCT with experience creating meaningful internship and co-op opportunities for high school and college students.

Dionne is a graduate of Cambridge College and holds an M.Ed. (concentration in counseling) and a B.S. in human services. She also earned an A.S. in social services from Capital Community College. Dionne resides in Windsor with her husband, daughter, and her cat and dog fur babies.

 

 


Education is critical to creating one’s own destiny; however, the pursuit of an education is not the same for every student. Therefore, it’s imperative that young people are provided with opportunities to explore and discover their interests and talents to make an informed postsecondary plan.”
