Danielle Poirier

Career Development Specialist


Danielle joins ReadyCT with 11 years of experience in public education as a special education case manager and transition coordinator. During her time as an educator, she also took on other roles including class advisor, JV softball coach, and JV cheerleading coach. 

Danielle has a passion for helping students discover and explore career pathways. Her primary goal was to prepare students for their postsecondary goals, assisting them with professional skills including self-advocacy and self-determination. Additionally, she has experience in guiding students through mock interviews and resume writing.

Bringing her passion and experience, Danielle is excited to work with students across eastern Connecticut to build their workplace readiness skills.

Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in media production and a master’s degree in education and special education She formerly worked at a local Connecticut news station. During her free time, Danielle enjoys golfing, vacationing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Outside of ReadyCT, Ally enjoys working out, spending time with friends, and playing with her two dogs and one cat. She is an avid traveler and will take the opportunity to travel any chance she can!
