Prior to joining ReadyCT, Dan worked as a career success advisor for the University of Hartford preparing students to succeed in a professional setting; he was also the liaison for both the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) and the College of Education, Nursing, and Health Professions (ENHP). In this capacity, he helped the university establish new relations with local companies to offer more work-related opportunities and internships to students. Prior to that, Dan worked as a middle school science teacher for Manchester Public Schools (MPS). While at MPS, he identified the need for schools to provide students with clear connections to the professional world.
Aligned with the mission of ReadyCT, Dan is currently leveraging his past experiences to provide work-based learning opportunities for students in the Allied Health Pathway at East Hartford High School.
Dan holds both a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in curriculum instruction from the University of Connecticut. Outside of ReadyCT, he loves playing board games, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
“I am in this role so that I can encourage students to become their own biggest advocate in order to achieve success. Students can and should take ownership of their education and, most importantly, ask questions.”
