Chris joined ReadyCT in the fall of 2022. He brings a wide range of experience to ReadyCT, including community health and education efforts in Burkina Faso (West Africa) with the Peace Corps. In addition, Chris has participated in month-long outward-bound wilderness canoe trips with youth populations on the rivers and swamps of Florida. He also worked with education and employment programming for homeless youth and young adult populations in Denver and Hartford.
Chris is excited to bring his years of workforce and education programming experience to the engineering and green technology pathway at Hartford Public High School. He is also excited to work with the students and educators and partners working to make the pathway a continued success.
Chris holds an M.A. in education from Colorado State University. He lives in Mansfield, CT, next to UConn’s main campus, where you might find him hiking with his wife and their dog – although it is more likely you’ll see him waiting in line for ice cream at the Dairy Bar.
“This work is vital because of the inequities concerning accessing quality education, employment, and training opportunities. All students should be provided pathways to success, regardless of background or geographic location. ReadyCT is working to develop and strengthen strategic relationships and programming, increasing access to opportunities that help lay a solid foundation for all students to create goals that lead to high achievement.”
