brittany.wilborn@readyCT.org

Brittany brings eight years of youth development, community engagement, and workforce development to ReadyCT. Brittany has a passion for uplifting and encouraging youth and young adults; many of her professional years have been spent at a community-based social services agency in Hartford working with autistic children and children with extensive exposure to trauma. There, she helped to prepare youth for community reentry and family reunification. She also supported clinical treatment plans by assisting with education and vocation planning.

Most recently, Brittany served as a career transition specialist helping to prepare high school students and young adults for postsecondary education and workforce entry. In this position she conducted mock interviews, assisted with budgeting, helped students select professional attire, engaged employers to collaborate on work-based learning opportunities: internships, externships, and job shadowing.

Brittany holds an associate’s degree in health sciences from Goodwin University and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human services at Goodwin University (‘22).

Outside of ReadyCT, Brittany is a full-figured model, dancer, and actress. She recently won first place in the Ms. Full Figured USA At-Large Pageant and placed first in the talent and swimwear categories.

I do this work because I believe all students deserve the opportunity to lead a successful and purpose-filled life, no matter their circumstance or barriers. Youth should be given the freedom to discover who they are authentically, dream whole-heartedly, and live passionately.”
